Get That Summer Glow

To say we are obsessed with tan is an understatement! Whether your light, medium or dark skinned, we have a few tans to choose from. We take your hair colour, skin tone & your personal preference of course…before we recommended which tan to go with!

Make The Most Out Of Your Tan!

We usually recommend you tan 24-48 hours before your event, so if you have a wedding/party/event on Saturday, pop into us on the Thursday and have your spray tan done. You can sleep with the tan on for full development, shower and follow necessary after care procedure and then have the next day for the tan to settle.

Haus of beauty’s Top Tanning Tips:

Q: What should I do before I get a spray tan?

A:The longest-lasting tan starts before you get to the clinic, it all begins at home. This means getting your skin in the best possible condition prior to treatment, since the better its condition, the better and longer lasting your tan will be. It is recommended to exfoliate each day in the days leading up to your spray tan

All waxing and tinting should be done 24-48 hours before your spray tan.If shaving is needed ,please shave 24hrs prior to tanning and then exfoliate afterwards to avoid razor marks on lower legs. This will even out skin again and prep it for tanning.

Shower and exfoliate with a body scrub to get rid of any dry, flaky skin paying particular attention to areas such as your knees, elbows and ankles. This is to ensure that the tan will apply to your skin evenly upon application and wear off beautifully.

Of course, moisturise after exfoliation.

On the day of the tan: Wear old loose dark clothing and footwear, flip flops are ideal. A disposable G-string is available if required. The beauty of a spray tan is that you get to avoid tan lines so aim for minimal skin-to-fabric contact.

Avoid using any sprays/creams/lotions prior to your spray tan as this can create a barrier on the skin in turn interrupting the development of the spray tan.

Q: How long does a spray tan last?

A: That all depends on the client and it will depend on the skin condition.

It will also depend on how well the client maintains it at home but usually between 4-7 days.

Q: How do I maintain my tan?

A: There are a few tricks you can do:

Moisturise every day with a non-oil based moisturiser. (Oil will crack your tan and give you a “snake” like look. Avoid it unless you are trying to remove the remnants of tan – in that case, it’s brilliant to help with tan-removal.)

Pat your skin dry after a shower, don’t rub It dry as this can affect the longevity of your spray tan.

Q: When can I shower after a spray tan?

A: We usually recommend you leave your tan for 8-10 hours before showering.
